CTE/Tech Prep Program of Study

The Ohio Career-Technical Education (CTE)/Tech Prep Program of Study (POS), which is a requirement of the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, serves as a guide for what a quality workforce development (WFD) program should be. The student-centered CTE/Tech Prep POS is required for all approved CTE WFD programs as outlined in the Ohio CTE Five-Year (FY2009-2013) State Plan. Key to this guide is collaboration among business and secondary and postsecondary partners. These resources are provided to assist with understanding, development and compliance of the POS requirement.
